[ Proclamation No. 2385, October 22, 1984 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 22 TO 28, 1984, AS “PUBLIC RELATIONS WEEK”.

WHEREAS, the Public Relations Society of the Philippines is composed of members, the majority of whom are outstanding PR practitioners, PR managers of the country’s top corporations and prominent PR directors of government corporations and offices;

WHEREAS, the Public Relations Society of the Philippines is scheduled to hold its First National Congress on Public Relations in Manila from October 22 to 28, 1984;

WHEREAS, the National Congress on Public Relations will be a forum for the deliberation of various ways and means of meeting the present difficulties from the public relations point of view; and

WHEREAS, the proclamation of October 22 to 28, 1984, will be a fitting recognition of the role of public relations in bridging the gap between the government and the private industry and the people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from October 22 to 28, 1984, as “Public Relations Week” under the auspices of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines.1aшphi1
