DECLARING THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, JANUARY 26 AND 27, 1984 AS NATIONWIDE NON-WORKING SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Batas Pambansa Blg. 643, dated December 21, 1983, a plebiscite has been called on January 27, 1984 at which the proposed amendments to the Constitution of the Philippines shall be submitted to the people for ratification;
WHEREAS, it is necessary that all registered voters be given the fullest opportunity to exercise their right to express their views on the questions posed in the plebiscite;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby declare Thursday and Friday, January 26 and 27, 1984, as nationwide non-working special public holidays.1aшphi1
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
