PROCLAMATION NO. 2312

DECLARING SEPTEMBER 21, 1983 AS A SPECIAL WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY WITH REGULAR CLASSES SUSPENDED IN ALL LEVELS IN THE ENTIRE ARCHIPELAGO

WHEREAS, September 21 is a nationwide special holiday pursuant to Letter of Instructions No. 1087 dated November 26, 1980;

WHEREAS, the pupils, students and teachers desire to join their countrymen in the nationwide and historic celebration of Thanksgiving Day on September 21, 1983 while the working men in the private sector and government employees would like to report for work as an expression of gratitude for the tremendous achievements and progress of the country and welfare of our people commencing on September 21, 1972;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare September 21, 1983 as a special working public holiday throughout the country with regular classes suspended in all levels.⚖ - ℒαɯρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
