PROCLAMATION NO. 2298

DECLARING SATURDAY, JULY 23, 1983, AS “APOLINARIO MABINI DAY” IN BATANGAS PROVINCE AND BATANGAS CITY AND LIPA CITY

WHEREAS, Saturday, July 23, 1983, marks the birthday of Apolinario Mabini, the Sublime Paralytic, whose ideals and principles in life are now the nations treasured legacy; and

WHEREAS, the people of his province should be given the opportunity to celebrate his birth anniversary with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, July 23, 1983, as “Apolinario Mabini Day” in the province of Batangas and in the cities of Lipa and Batangas. The day, however, shall be a regular working and school day.⚖ - ℒαɯρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
