PROCLAMATION NO. 2270

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 187 DATED MARCH 28, 1967 BY TRANSFERRING INVENTORS WEEK TO THE LAST WEEK OF FEBRUARY OF EVERY YEAR.

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 187 dated March 28, 1967, declared the second week of April of every year as Inventors Week.

WHEREAS, the said period often coincides with Holy Week, preventing many from participating in the week long affair; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to transfer the celebration of Inventors Week to a more convenient and appropriate date.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the last week of February and every year thereafter, as “Philippine Inventors Week”.

I call on all government agencies and offices, as well as the business and industry sectors, to extend every possible assistance and cooperation in making the celebration of the week a success.

This Proclamation amends Proclamation No. 187, series of 1967.⚖ - ℒαɯρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
