PROCLAMATION NO. 2252

DECLARING FRIDAY, JANUARY 21, 1983, AS “EULOGIO ‘AMANG’ RODRIGUEZ DAY.”

WHEREAS, Friday, January 21, 1982, marks the centenary of the birth of the late Eulogio Rodriguez, outstanding former President of the Philippine Senate; and

WHEREAS, the people of the Province of Rizal, the birthplace of the late Senator should draw inspiration from his humble beginning, perseverance and dedication to the service of his constituents for which he was fondly called “Amang”;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, January 21, 1983, as “Eulogio ‘Amang’ Rodriguez Day”. The day, however, shall be regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.ᇈWᑭHIL
