PROCLAMATION NO. 2245

DECLARING DECEMBER 18, 1982 AS THE PLEBISCITE DAY FOR THE RATIFICATION OF THE PROPOSAL TO RETURN THE SEAT OF GOVERNMENT OF THE PROVINCE OF MAGUINDANAO FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF SULTAN KUDARAT TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAGANOY.

WHEREAS, Batas Pambansa Blg. 211 returned the seat of government of the Province of Maguindanao from the municipality of Sultan Kudarat to the municipality of Maganoy, which transfer shall take effect upon the approval thereof by a majority of the votes cast in a plebiscite to be held in the entire Province of Maguindanao not later than December 31, 1982;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare December 18, 1982 as Plebiscite Day in the entire Province of Maguindanao, excluding the City of Cotabato.

The Commission on Elections shall supervise the conduct of the Plebiscite in the above-mentioned Province in accordance with Batas Pambansa Blg. 211.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
