PROCLAMATION NO. 2236

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 1 TO NOVEMBER 7, 1982 AS MANAGEMENT CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the government to promote management consciousness in both the public and private sectors in facilitating developmental efforts of the nation;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Council of Management is sponsoring the Thirteenth Philippine Management Congress from November 3 to 5, 1982, which will be attended by management experts, practitioners and educators from the Philippines and other ASEAN countries; and

WHEREAS, management consciousness is essential to promote better business practices, increase productivity and improve public administration and services, which are vital pre-requisites to economic development, social progress and stability;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 1 to November 7, 1982, as “Management Consciousness Week.”

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
