PROCLAMATION NO. 2221
DECLARING AS PALAWAN FLORA, FAUNA AND WATERSHED RESERVE A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE CITY OF PUERTO PRINCESA, ISLAND OF PALAWAN, AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 67 DATED AUGUST 21, 1912.
Upon recommendation of the Director of Forest Development, duly concurred in by the Minister of Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside as Palawan Flora, Fauna and Watershed Reserve under the administration of the Bureau of Forest Development, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to final survey, that parcel of land of the public domain situated in the City of Puerto Princesa, Island of Palawan, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Corner 1 a point marked “1” on the map being N. 17° W, 310 meters from the intersection of the Road from Puerto Princesa to Iwahig and Balsahan River,
Thence, following Balsahan River upstream in a general Northwest, Northeast, direction about 2,320 meters straight (direct) distance to point “2”;

The Ministry of Natural Resources, through the Bureau of Forest Development, may, by itself or in joint venture with the City Government of Puerto Princesa and/or other appropriate agencies, undertake the development of the Reserve in the manner most feasible to preserve the flora and fauna of Palawan, including the rehabilitation of the watershed of Puerto Princesa City.
