PROCLAMATION NO. 2206
DECLARING THURSDAY, JULY 1, 1982, A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE.
WHEREAS, July 1, is a very special event for Southern Leyte for it marks the day of its creation;
WHEREAS, the residents of the Province of Southern Leyte, conscious of the significance of the event, desire to celebrate the same with appropriate ceremonies and to honor distinguished Southern Leyteños;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, July 1, 1982, as a special non-working public holiday in Southern Leyte.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
