PROCLAMATION NO. 2202

DECLARING JUNE 7, 1982, MONDAY, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN REGIONS IX AND XII IN CONNECTION WITH THE HOLDING OF ELECTIONS FOR REPRESENTATIVES TO THE SANGGUNIANG PAMPOOK THEREAT.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Batas Pambansa Blg. 20 I have issued Proclamation No. 2187 setting for June 7, 1982, the election of representatives to the Sangguniang Pampook for Regions IX and XII;

WHEREAS, to enable the people there to properly exercise their right of suffrage, it is fitting that Monday, June 7, 1982, be declared as a special non-working public holiday in the said autonomous regions; and

WHEREAS, the declaration of said date will not prejudice the public interest;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, June 7, 1982, as a special non-working public holiday in Regions IX and XII: Provided, That teachers and other officials or employees who are by law required to assist in the conduct of the election shall report to their respective stations.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
