PROCLAMATION NO. 2200

RESERVING A 25-HECTARE PORTION OF THE SETTLEMENT FOR NATIONAL CULTURAL COMMUNITIES IN NEW CABALAN, OLONGAPO CITY, FOR THE USE OF MUSLIMS THEREAT

WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Undertaking signed on 21 October 1976 was executed by various government agencies for the development of a 25-hectare portion of the settlement for National Cultural Communities in New Cabalan, Olongapo City, for the benefit of Muslims from North-Central Luzon, particularly those in Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga;

WHEREAS, since the signing of the aforementioned Memorandum of Undertaking the Muslim residence of the area subject of said undertaking have tremendously increased in number thus necessitating the reservation of the area as Muslim community from North-Central Luzon;

WHEREAS, the reservation of said area for the Muslims thereat will surely contribute to our Programs in Southern Philippines;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby declare the 25-hectare portion of the settlement for National Cultural Communities in New Cabalan, Olongapo City, as reserved for the use of the Muslims in North-Central Luzon, the administration thereof conferred to the Ministry of Muslim Affairs.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Natural Resources, through the Director of Bureau of Lands, shall cause the re-survey of said parcel of land and to furnish copies thereof to the Ministry of Muslim Affairs.ℒαwρhi৷
