PROCLAMATION NO. 2187
SETTING THE DATE FOR THE HOLDING OF ELECTIONS FOR THE POSITIONS OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE SANGGUNIANG PAMPOOK OF REGIONS NINE AND TWELVE.
WHEREAS, the three-year term of office of the representatives to the Sangguniang Pampook of Regions Nine and Twelve expires on May 8, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Batas Pambansa Blg. 20 approved on March 23, 1979, authorized the President to fix the date of the election of representatives to the Sangguniang Pampook of Regions Nine and Twelve.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby set the date of the elections, the campaign period and the last day for the filing of certificates of candidacy by candidates to the positions of representatives to the Sangguniang Pampook of Regions Nine and Twelve, as follows:
1. The election of representatives to the Sangguniang Pampook of Regions Nine and Twelve shall be held on June 7, 1982.
2. The campaign period of candidates shall not be more than fifteen (15) days starting on May 21, 1982 and ending on June 5, 1982.
3. No person shall be elected representatives to the Sangguniang Pampook of Region Nine or Twelve unless he files in triplicate with the Commission on Elections, not later than May 11, 1982, a sworn certificate of candidacy in the form prescribed by the Commission on Elections.ℒαwρhi৷
