PROCLAMATION NO. 2119

DECLARING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1981, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR.

WHEREAS, Thursday, September 17, 1981, marks the birth of the Province of Siquijor; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Siquijor should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare September 17, 1981, as a special non-working public holiday in Siquijor.ᇈWᑭHIL

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-one.
