PROCLAMATION NO. 2108

DECLARING SUNDAY, AUGUST 30, 1981, AS BATTLE OF PINAGLABANAN DAY IN SAN JUAN, METRO MANILA.

WHEREAS, the 30th of August marks the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Pinaglabanan where Filipino first clashed with American soldiers, sparkling the brief of struggle for freedom from American domination; and

WHEREAS, the people of San Juan, Metro Manila should be given full opportunity to celebrate this occasion with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Sunday, August 30, 1981 as Battle of Pinaglabanan Day in San Juan, Metro Manila.ᇈWᑭHIL

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
