PROCLAMATION NO. 2106

AUTHORIZING THE GIRL SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT ITS ANNUAL NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM AUGUST 1, 1981 TO JULY 31, 1982.

WHEREAS, the Girl Scouts of the Philippines in its noble task of preparing the girls of our country for their responsibilities in line with national and international Scouting standards inspires every generation with the highest ideals for citizenship, character, conduct and attainment;

WHEREAS, the unstinted cooperation and wholehearted support being extended by the government and private sector amply attest to the acceptance of the Girl Scouting Movement by the youth and the community;

WHEREAS, the Girl Scouts, through their voluntary involvement in civic and community development projects, undertaken effectively with zeal and sincerity, have demonstrated that they are capable partners in nation-building, and can contribute effectively to the welfare of our society and the progress of our nation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate the period from August 1, 1981 to July 31, 1982, for the Girl Scouts of the Philippines to conduct its annual national fund campaign. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, to assist in this campaign and to give it their unstinted support in order that it may be able to continue with its youth citizenship program.ᇈWᑭHIL

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
