PROCLAMATION NO. 2078

CALLING THE BATASANG PAMBANSA TO A SPECIAL SESSION TO CONSIDER LEGISLATION FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS RATIFIED IN THE PLEBISCITE OF APRIL 7, 1981

WHEREAS, in a plebiscite held on April 7, 1981 pursuant to Batas Pambansa Blg. 122, the proposed amendments to the Constitution were overwhelmingly approved;

WHEREAS, to carry out the mandate of our people, it is necessary that the Batasang Pambansa consider legislation for the implementation of said constitutional amendments;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby call the Batasang Pambansa to a special session for not more than fifteen (15) days beginning at five o’clock p.m. April 14, 1981, to consider legislation for the implementation of the constitutional amendments ratified in the plebiscite of April 7, 1981.ᇈWᑭHIL

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
