PROCLAMATION NO. 2076
AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP, EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1981.
WHEREAS, the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc. a non-profit organization deeply involved in the preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of mental illness, has shown the importance and value of its services;
WHEREAS, the Association is helping the Philippine Government to host the 1981 World Congress on Mental Health scheduled from July 27 to August 1, 1981; and
WHEREAS, the Association needs the moral and financial support of the public and private sectors to realize its laudable objectives.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc. to conduct a national membership, educational and fund campaign during the period from January 1 to December 31, 1981.
I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to give generously of their means in helping realize this humanitarian endeavor. All donations and contributions to the Association shall be exempt from all taxes including amusement tax and the same shall constitute allowable deduction in full for income tax purposes of the donors.
Furthermore, I authorize all government financing institutions and government corporations to support this fund drive by contributing generously of their funds. This campaign is exempted from the provisions of LOI 828.ᇈWᑭHIL
