PROCLAMATION NO. 2063

DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 9, 1981, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS AND IN THE CITIES OF BATANGAS AND LIPA.

WHEREAS, the 90th birthday of the late Jose P. Laurel, patriot, jurist and statesman, falls on March 9, 1981; and

WHEREAS, the people of Batangas should be given full opportunity to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, March 9, 1981 as a special public holiday in the Province of Batangas and in the cities of Batangas and Lipa, but the day will be a regular working and school day.ᇈWᑭHIL

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
