PROCLAMATION NO. 2054

DECLARING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1981, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN MANDALUYONG, METRO MANILA.

WHEREAS, on Monday, February 9, 1981, the Municipality of Mandaluyong will celebrate the 35th year of its liberation by the American forces from the Japanese invaders; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Mandaluyong should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, February 9, 1981, as a special public holiday in the Municipality of Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, but the day will be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS, WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
