PROCLAMATION NO. 2053

DECLARING APRIL 7, 1981 AS THE PLEBISCITE DAY FOR THE RATIFICATION OF BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 90, CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF STO. NIŅO, SOUTH COTABATO.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Batas Pambansa Blg. 90, creating the Municipality of Sto. Niņo in the Province of South Cotabato, it is a prerequisite that the barangays affected thereby should be consulted in a plebiscite to be conducted within 120 days from December 23, 1980, the date of approval of said Act;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President/Prime Minister of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare April 7, 1981, as plebiscite day in the barangays of Sto. Niņo, Guinsang-an, San Vicente, Panay, Manuel Roxas, Katipunan and San Isidro in the Municipality of Norala, and barangays Ambolgan and Teresita in the Municipality of Banga, which barangays shall form the new Municipality of Sto. Niņo, South Cotabato.

The Commission on Elections shall supervise the plebiscite in the above-mentioned barangays in accordance with Section 4 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 90, and shall submit its report to the President of the Philippines within thirty (30) days from the date of the plebiscite.ᇈWᑭHIL
