PROCLAMATION NO. 2003

DECLARING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 1980, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN GENERAL SANTOS CITY.

WHEREAS, Friday, September 5, 1980, marks the charter anniversary of General Santos City; and

WHEREAS, the residents of the City should be given the opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their City’s history with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, September 5, 1980, as a special public holiday in General Santos City, but the day will be a regular working and school day.
