PROCLAMATION NO. 1995

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20, 1980, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN LUCENA CITY

WHEREAS, Wednesday, August 20, 1980, marks the 100th Year Foundation Day of the City of Lucena; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Lucena City should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare August 20, 1980, as a special public holiday in Lucena City, but the day will be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 18th day of August in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty.
