PROCLAMATION NO. 1994

DECLARING TUESDAY, AUGUST 19, 1980, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN QUEZON CITY.

WHEREAS, Tuesday, August 19, 1980, marks the 102nd birth anniversary of the late President Manuel L. Quezon, one of the foremost leaders and statesmen the country ever produced; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Quezon City desire to celebrate his birthday with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Tuesday, August 19, 1980, as a special public holiday in Quezon City, but the day will be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
