PROCLAMATION NO. 1981

DECLARING THURSDAY, JUNE 19, 1980, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CALAMBA, LAGUNA.

WHEREAS, Thursday, June 19, 1980 marks the 119th birth anniversary of the late Dr. Jose P. Rizal, our national hero; and

WHEREAS, the people of Calamba, Laguna, desire to celebrate his natal day with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, June 19, 1980, as a special public holiday in Calamba, Laguna, but the day will be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 19th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty.
