PROCLAMATION NO. 1950
DECLARING MARCH 17 TO 21, 1980 AS INFORMATION AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY WEEK.
WHEREAS, there is a need to highlight the important role that information systems play in the development process, particularly in policy formulation and in the implementation of development programs;
WHEREAS, there is a necessity to focus attention on the need for more efficient methods of gathering, processing and utilizing information in the light analysis as the basis for designing and implementing explicit and coherent plans and policies; and
WHEREAS, there is a necessity to focus public attention to the roles of information and computer technology in national development;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby proclaim March 17 to 21, 1980 as Information and Computer Technology Week.ℒαwρhi৷
