PROCLAMATION NO. 1943

DECLARING FEBRUARY 8, 1980, AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS RECTO DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TIAONG, QUEZON.

WHEREAS, Friday, February 8, 1980 marks the birth anniversary of the late Senator Claro M. Recto, foremost lawyer, jurist, man of letters, senator and one of the country's greatest statesmen; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to focus attention on the exemplary life of the late Senator Recto;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare February 8, 1980 and every year thereafter as Recto Day in the Municipality of Tiaong, Quezon.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.ℒαwρhi৷
