MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 875, July 10, 1971 ] DECLARING THE PERIOD JULY 11 TO 17, 1971, AS UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT担 WEEK. WHEREAS, the World Congress of University Presidents, will be held in Manila on July 11 to 17, 1971, under the sponsorship of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and the Association of University Presidents of the Philippines, Inc.; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to focus public attention on the role of University presidents in the development of a nation, in molding public opinion, in humanitarian services and civic leadership and in promoting the professions; NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period July 11 to 17, 1971, as UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT担 WEEK under the auspices of the Association of University Presidents of the Philippines, Inc. and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
