DECLARING SATURDAY, JUNE 19, 1971, AS a SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LAGUNA AND IN THE CITY OF SAN PABLO.
WHEREAS, June 19, 1971, marks the one hundred eleventh birthday of Dr. Jose Rizal, our national hero; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the residents of Laguna, his birthplace, should at least be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies in keeping with his ideals and teachings;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERTO V. REYES, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Saturday, June 19, 1971, as a special public holiday in the Province of Laguna and in the City of San Pablo.
