[ Proclamation No. 562, May 22, 1969 ]

CALLING THE CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES TO A SPECIAL SESSION

WHEREAS, the public interest requires that the Congress of the Philippines be convened in a special session in order to consider urgent legislative measures;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby call the Congress of the Philippines to a special session for such number of days as may be necessary not exceeding thirty (30) days commencing on June 2, 1969 to consider general legislation and the following subjects:

H. No. 18676 — AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES DURING THE PERIOD FROM JULY FIRST NINETEEN HUNDRED AND SIXTY-NINE TO JUNE THIRTIETH, NINETEEN HUNDRED SEVENTY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
H. No. 17434 — AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR PUBLIC WORKS, SYNCHRONIZING THE SAME WITH PREVIOUS PUBLIC WORKS APPROPRIATIONS.
H. No. 17840 17141 — AN ACT CREATING THE METROPOLITAN POLICE COMMAND AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.

AN ACT CREATING A PEACE AND ORDER SPECIAL FUND.
H. No. 16303 — AN ACT AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE TARIFF AND CUSTOMS CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES (Omnibus Tariff Code).

All persons entitled to sit as Members of the Congress of the Philippines are requested to take notice of this proclamation.
