MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 97, September 8, 1966 ] DECLARING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1966, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CEBU PROVINCE AND IN THE CITIES OF CEBU, DANAO, LAPU-LAPU AND TOLEDO. WHEREAS, Friday, September 9, 1966, marks the birthday of the late President Sergio Osmeña, Sr., second President of the Commonwealth, patriot, statesman and staunch advocate of nationalism and Philippine Independence; and WHEREAS, at least the people of his province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Friday, September 9, 1966, as a special public holiday in Cebu Province and in the Cities of Cebu, Danao, Lapu-Lapu and Toledo.1aшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
