MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 306, September 3, 1964 ] DECLARING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1964, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CEBU PROVINCE AND IN THE CITIES OF CEBU, DANAO, LAPU-LAPU, AND TOLEDO WHEREAS, Wednesday, September 9, 1964, marks the birthday of the late President Sergio Osmeña, Sr., second President of the Commonwealth, patriot, statesman, and staunch advocate of nationalism and Philippine independence; and WHEREAS, at least the people of his province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Wednesday, September 9, 1964, as a special public holiday in Cebu Province and in the Cities of Cebu, Danao, Lapu-Lapu, and Toledo.1aшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
