GIVING PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE APPROVAL BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BILL NUMBERED ELEVEN, NOW KNOWN AS COMMONWEALTH ACT NUMBERED FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-FIVE.
In accordance with the provisions of section three of National Assembly Bill Numbered Eleven, entitled "An Act prohibiting the exportation of fibers (buntal), seeds, or seedlings of the plant commonly known as the ‘buri’," I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, do hereby certify and give public notice of the approval by the President of the United States on June seventh, nineteen hundred and forty, of said Bill, as provided in Act of Congress (Public No. 127), approved March twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and thirty-four.
The National Assembly Bill above mentioned becomes Commonwealth Act Numbered Five hundred and eighty-five.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done at the City of Manila this fifteenth day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the fifth.
