Proclamation No. 387

RESERVING FOR MILITARY PURPOSES TWO PARCELS OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE DISTRICT OF PORT AREA, CITY OF MANILA.

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce and pursuant to the provisions of section eighty-three of Commonwealth Act Numbered One hundred and forty-one, I hereby withdraw from sale or settlement and reserve for military purposes, under the administration of the Chief of Staff of the Philippine Army, subject to private rights, if any there be, the following parcels of the public domain, situated in the district of Port Area, City of Manila, Island of Luzon, and particularly described in Bureau of Lands plan. Ir-463, to wit:

Lot No. 1.—Beginning at a point marked 1 on Bureau of Lands plan Ir-463, S. 82° 10′ W. 953.74 m., more or less, from B. L. L. M. No. 42, Manila Cadastre No. 13, thence N. 85″ 00′ W. 98.08 m. to point 2; N. 15° 33′ E. 154.90 m. to point 3; N. 22° 27′ E. 1.00 m. to point 4; S. 63° 27′ E. 4.46 m. to point 5; S. 03° 27′ E. 70.24 m. to point 6; S. 5° 01′ W. 125.78 m. to point 1, point of beginning.

Containing an area of 11,894.4 square meters.

Point 1, old iron tube filled with cement and center with nail on top, set on concrete base; point 2, triangulation station point; point 3, outer corner point of granite stone coping; point 4, cross on granite stone coping; point 5, cross on concrete pavement; point 6, intersection.

Bounded on the northeast by granite retaining wall, Muelle de Codo (not existing) and lot No. 2; on the east, by Muelle de Tacoma; on the southwest, by Manila Bay (portion of inner basin used by U. S. Army) ; and on the northwest, by Manila Bay (portion of inner basin used by U. S. Army) and property of the Earnshaws Docks & Honolulu Iron Works.

Lot No. 2.—Beginning at a point marked 1 on Bureau of Lands plan Ir-463, N. 88° 57′ W. 949.08 m., more or less, from B. L. L. M. No. 42, Manila cadastre No. 13, thence S. 5″ 30′ W. 5.42 m. to point 2; S. 63° 34′ E. 5.80 m. to point 3; S. 85° 41′ E. 11.71 m. to point 4; S. 5° 29′ W. 13.17 m. to point 5; S. 5° 01′ W. 0.22 m. to point 6; N. 63° 27′ W. 70.24 m. to point 7; N. 26° 02′ E. 9.03 m. to point 8; S. 66° 11′ E. 30.08 m. to point 9; S. 72° 20′ E. 17.09 m. to point 1, point of beginning.

Containing an area of 700.2 square meters.

Point 6, intersection; point 7, cross on concrete pavement; and the rest are B. L. concrete monuments.

Bounded on the northeast and northwest, by Muelle de Codo (not existing); on the east, by Muelle Tacoma; and on the southwest, by granite retaining wall and lot No. 1.

Bearings true. Declination, variable.

Points referred to are marked on Bureau of Lands plan Ir-463.

Surveyed: December 9-15, 1938.

Approved: January 20, 1939.

NOTE.—Lot No. 1 is outside of Manila cadastre No. 13, case No. 14.

Lot No. 2 = Block No. 201, a portion of Muelle de Codo of Manila cadastre No. 13, case No. 14.
