Proclamation No. 272

CALLING THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO A SPECIAL SESSION FOR A PERIOD OF TWO DAYS BEGINNING MAY 23, 1938.

By virtue of the powers conferred upon me by the provisions of Article VI, section three, paragraph (3), of the Constitution of the Philippines, and in order that the National Assembly may consider and pass important and urgent legislation which have heretofore been submitted to it for consideration by the Executive and which were left without final action during the last regular session and those which, from time to time, may be submitted to it, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby call the National Assembly in special session, for a period of two days, commencing on Monday, May twenty-third, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonweatlh of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Manila, this twentieth day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the third.
