Proclamation No. 130
SETTING ASIDE FEBRUARY 24, 1937, AS A DAY FOR THE INAUGURATION OF THE CITY OF CEBU, AND DECLARING IT A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR THE PROVINCE OF CEBU.
By virtue of the powers conferred upon me by law, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside February twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, for the inauguration of the City of Cebu, created by Commonwealth Act Numbered Fifty-eight, as amended by Commonwealth Act Numbered One hundred twenty-nine.
In order to provide full opportunity for the people of Cebu to participate in the celebration of the inauguration of the said city, so that the day may be fittingly observed, February twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, is hereby declared a special public holiday for the Province of Cebu.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done at the City of Manila, this twenty-third day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the second.
