[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 30, January 16, 2012 ]

CREATING A TASK FORCE TO CONDUCT OCULAR INSPECTION IN PENABIANCA, CAGAYAN

WHEREAS, several cases involving a landholding in Penabianca. Cagayan are pending resolution in the different echelons of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and in the Office of the President (OP).

WHEREAS, DENR officials in the area report of harassment resulting in an inability to conduct an actual inspection of the entire landholding and the incapacity to implement even final and executory decisions/resolutions.1âшphi1

WHEREAS, there is a need to create a Task Force to determine the actual and rightful occupation in the area and thereafter recommend the award and/or proper disposition of the subject landholding.

WHEREFORE, a Task Force is hereby created, to be composed of:

Chairman	Assistant Secretary, Lands Management Bureau, DENR
Members	Engineer from the DENR Central Office
	The Chief of the Legal Division, DENR-Region II
	Engineer from the Surveys Division, DENR-
	Region II and.
	A lawyer from OP-Legal

The DENR Secretary and the Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs (DESLA) shall designate their respective officials to the Task Force, determine the budgetary requirements, and issue the corresponding office orders for the purpose.

OP-Legal shall provide administrative and secretariat support to the Task Force. Police Assistance may be secured from the police force in Region II.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
