MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 306, November 26, 2009 ] REQUEST FOR THE CONCURRENCE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES IN THE DEPUTATION OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES (AFP) AND THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE (PNP), FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENSURING FREE, ORDERLY, HONEST, PEACEFUL AND CREDIBLE CONDUCT OF THE NOVEMBER 25, 2009 PLEBISCITE TO RATIFY THE CONVERSION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF DASMARINAS, PROVINCE OF CAVITE INTO A COMPONENT CITY PURSUANT TO R.A. 9723 DATED OCTOBER 15, 2009 Pursuant to Section 2, (4)(c), Article IX of the Constitution, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby concur with Resolution No. 8685 of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), promulgated on 27 October 2009, deputizing the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to assist the COMELEC for the purpose of ensuring free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible conduct of the November 25, 2009 plebiscite to ratify the conversion of the municipality of Dasmariñas, Province of Cavite into a component city pursuant to R.A. 9723 dated October 15, 2009. The foregoing law enforcement agencies and other concerned agencies are hereby directed to coordinate and cooperate with the Commission on Elections in the performance of their duties and functions.
