MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 113, August 11, 2003 ] BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES EXPRESSING CONCURRENCE IN THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 6257 DATED JULY 17, 2003 Pursuant to Article IX (C), Section 2(4), of the 1987 Constitution, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL- ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby concur in the Resolution of the Commission on Elections deputizing the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Philippine National Police, in connection with the registration of voters on July 25-30, 2003 in the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Lanao del Sur and Maguindanao (excluding Cotabato City), (ARMM). National and local officials and employees, law enforcement agencies, and other instrumentalities, including the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Philippine National Police, are hereby directed to coordinate and cooperate with the Commission on Elections in the performance of its duties and functions.1aшphi1 This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
