MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 68, August 24, 2002 ] EXPRESSING CONCURRENCE IN THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 5589 DATED AUGUST 14, 2002 Pursuant to Article IX(C), Section 2(4), of the 1987 Constitution, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby concur in Resolution No. 5589, dated August 14, 2002, of the Commission on Elections entitled: “DEPUTATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AND INSTRUMENTALITIES OF THE GOVERNMENT, PRESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS AS DEPUTIES OF THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THE MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IN THE FIRST DISTRICT OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE ON AUGUST 26, 2002.” The national and local officials and employees, law enforcement agencies, and other instrumentalities, including the Armed Forces of the Philippines, are hereby directed to coordinate and cooperate with the Commission on Elections in the performance of its duties and functions.1aшphi1 This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
