SUBJECT: ORDERING THE REVIEW OF THE CONTRACT OF LEASE OVER THE NORTH TRIANGLE PROPERTY AND PROHIBITING THE ISSUANCE OF ANY DEMOLITION ORDER AGAINST THE LONG-TERM URBAN POOR OCCUPANTS THEREIN

In the interest of the service, the Executive Secretary is hereby ordered to immediately review the Contract of Lease entered into by and between the National Housing Authority, the Robinsons Land Corporation and the New San Jose Builders, Inc. dated May 1996 and approved by President Fidel V. Ramos on 23 August 1996 over the North Triangle property. The Executive Secretary shall determine whether the recommendations of the Chairperson of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) to declare the same as NULL and VOID or INVALID should be favorably acted upon. The members of the Inter-Agency Committee created under E.O. 58, dated 15 January 1993, shall submit their position on the matter. Likewise, the PCUP shall submit its position on the matter, incorporating the stand of the urban poor residents of the North Triangle property, through the San Roque Community Council (SRCC) North Triangle Alliance.1aшphi1

A final recommendation shall be submitted by the Executive Secretary not later than 7 December 2000. In the meantime, there shall be no demolition of structures belonging to the urban poor families certified by the SRCC North Triangle.

All orders inconsistent herewith are deemed revoked or amended accordingly.
