CREATING A SPECIAL COMMITTEE IN THE OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY TO STUDY AND IMPLEMENT THE INTEGRATION/RECRUITMENT OF THE CORDILLERA PEOPLES LIBERATION ARMY (CPLA) TO THE AFP/PNP IN RELATION TO SECTION 6 CORDILLERA REGIONAL SECURITY FORCE OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 220 S. 1987 CREATING THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION

In line with the governments policy of strengthening peace and order in the country, particularly in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), there is hereby created a Committee in the Office of the Executive Secretary to review, study and implement the integration/recruitment of the CPLA to the AFP/PNP with relation to Section 6 of Executive Order No. 220 s. 1987, composed of the following:

The Executive Secretary or his authorized representative	–	Chairman
The Undersecretary for Civilian Relations-DND	–	Vice-chair
The Undersecretary for Peace and Order-DILG	–	Member
The Regional Director of PNP-CAR	–	Member
The Executive Director/CEB	–	Member
The Chairman of the Cordillera Regional Assembly	–	Member
The Presidential Assistant for Northern Luzon	–	Member

The committee is hereby directed to conduct dialogue and consultations with the different Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army (CPLA) factions or as a whole;

The committee is further directed to submit its report and recommendations to the President, through the Office of the Executive Secretary, not later than 31 December 1999.1aшphi1

The Office of the President Proper shall source out funds for this activity.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
