AUTHORIZING THE NATIONAL CENTENNIAL COMMISSION TO SPONSOR THE HOLDING OF THE PHILIPPINE CENTENNIAL ADVENTURE RALLY AND ENJOINING THE SUPPORT OF ALL CONCERNED SECTORS

WHEREAS, we are celebrating 1998 as the Centennial Year of Philippine Independence;

WHEREAS, the observance of this landmark historic event deserves full support in terms of the widest possible information dissemination activities so as to mobilize widespread public participation in centennial activities;

WHEREAS, among the private sector initiatives to drum up public enthusiasm for the Philippine Centennial, the motoring sectors plan to stage a 30-day nationwide motorcade cum adventure rally dubbed as “PHILIPPINE CENTENNIAL ADVENTURE RALLY” promises to help raise public interest in and appreciation for the Philippine Centennial;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order the National Centennial Commission to sponsor the holding of the Philippine Centennial Adventure Rally.1aшphi1
