RECONSTITUTING THE SMOKEY MOUNTAIN DEVELOPMENT AND RECLAMATION PROJECT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Smokey Mountain Development and Reclamation Project (SMDRP) is a priority flagship project of this administration;
WHEREAS, Memorandum Order No. 415, series of 1992 constituted a SMDRP Executive Committee to oversee the implementation of the SMDRP, and had as its chair the Cabinet Officer for Regional Development for the National Capital Region (CORD-NCR);
WHEREAS, the CORD System has been discontinued in line with the reorganization of various offices under the Executive Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby order:
Section 1. Section 2 of Memorandum Order No. 415, s. 1992, as amended by Memorandum Order No. 38-A, s. 1992 is hereby amended to read as follows:
“Section 2. An Executive Committee is hereby created to oversee the implementation of the Plan, chaired by the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects with the heads of the following agencies as members: National Housing Authority, City of Manila, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, Public Estates Authority and the Metro Manila Development Authority.”
Section 2. The Executive Committee shall, among others, review and submit its recommendation to the President on the supplemental agreement in connection with the SMDRP.1aшphi1
Section 3. This Memorandum Order amends accordingly Memorandum Order No. 415 and 38-A, series of 1992.
Section 4. This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
