DELEGATING TO THE HEAD, PRESIDENTIAL MANAGEMENT STAFF THE PROCESSING AND SIGNING “BY AUTHORITY OF THE PRESIDENT” OF REQUESTS FOR THE USE OF THE FACILITY EMBODIED IN MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 36, SERIES OF 1992
WHEREAS, Memorandum Order No. 73 and 128, Series of 1993 empowered the Presidential Management Staff (PMS), among others, to process and sign documents “By Authority of the President” involving tax exemptions of foreign pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 36 (MO 36), Series of 1992;
WHEREAS, Memorandum Order No. 17, Series of 1998 was subsequently issued which had the effect of delegating to PMS the processing of requests for the use of the facility embodied in MO 36 but the signing of documents pertaining thereto “By Authority of the President” was transferred to the Executive Secretary or the Senior Deputy Executive Secretary; and
NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby order:
Section 1. – In the interest of the public service and in order to promote efficiency and proper coordination of work, the authority to process and sign documents “By Authority of the President” on requests for importation and donation of food, clothing, medicine and equipment for use in the government relief and rehabilitation programs for calamity-affected areas as embodied in MO 36, Series of 1992 is hereby delegated to the Head, Presidential Management Staff.1aшphi1
Section 2. – All previous issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby superseded and/or modified accordingly.
