CREATING A TASK FORCE TO ASSIST AND STUDY THE PROPOSAL OF THE MANILA TOWER CONSORTIUM TO UNDERTAKE THE MANILA TOWER PROJECT
There is hereby created a Task Force to assist and study the proposal of the Manila Tower Consortium to undertake the construction of a tower to serve as a communication center and as a monumental landmark in the City of Manila. The Task Force shall be composed of representatives from the following:
1. Department of Transportation and Communications – as the lead agency
2. Department of Public Works and Highways
3. Department of Tourism
4. Department of Environment and Natural Resources
5. City of Manila
6. Coordinating Council of the Philippine Assistance Program
7. National Parks Development Committee
8. National Historical Commission
9. National Centennial Commission
10. Intramuros Administration
11. Tourist Belt Businessmen’s Association
The Task Force is hereby authorized to call on any department, bureau, or agency of the government including government owned or controlled corporation, for assistance as it may need in the accomplishment of its task.
The Task Force shall submit its recommendation to the President through the Presidential Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects.1aшphi1
This Order takes effect immediately.
