REACTIVATING THE ANNUAL MALACAÑANG SPORTSFEST AND AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION THEREIN
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 64 dated March 1, 1993 adopting a national policy of “sports for all” and as part of the human resource development program of the Office of the President to enhance employee welfare, morale and productivity, the annual Malacañang Sportsfest is hereby reactivated.
In view hereof, the Personnel Office is hereby tasked to plan and implement said annual sportsfest under the policy guidance of Presidential Assistant Teodorico K. Imperial with the assistance of a Malacañang Sports Coordinating Council to be composed of duly designated sports coordinators from primary units and offices.
All heads of primary units and offices are hereby authorized to allow as many officials and employees as possible to attend and participate on official time in said sports activities and to designate their respective sports coordinators.1aшphi1
To minimize disruption of office work, sports activities shall be scheduled once a week, specifically on a Wednesday which is henceforth designated as the athletic day in this Office.
The payment of necessary and incidental expenses in connection with this program, including reasonable allowances not exceeding P50.00 per day for actual attendance and participation in sports activities held outside the office vicinity, is hereby authorized chargeable against the funds of this Office intended for the purpose, subject to the availability thereof and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
