CREATING A SCREENING COMMITTEE TO EVALUATE AND PROCESS ALL THE VOLUNTARY APPLICATIONS FOR RETIREMENT OF SENIOR PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE (PNP) OFFICERS
A Screening Committee is hereby created to evaluate and process all the voluntary applications for retirement by senior PNP officers in order to afford the President an opportunity to freely reorganize and institute reforms in the leadership of the PNP.
The Committee shall be headed by Secretary RAFAEL M. ALUNAN III, Department of Interior and Local Government, as its Chairman, and shall have the following as its members:
Secretary RENATO DE VILLA
Department of National Defense;
Undersecretary ERNESTO GIDAYA
Department of National Defense;
President CICERO CAMPOS
Public Safety College;
Director (Ret) VICENTE VINARAO
Office of the President;
Commissioner EDGAR DULA TORRE
National Police Commission;
P/MG (Ret) ALEXANDER AGUIRRE;
P/BG (Ret) JAMES BARBERS; and
P/BG (Ret) LEVY MALTO.
All applications for retirement should be tendered to the Screening Committee within seven (7) days from the issuance of this Order.
These applications however, shall in no case be treated or construed as an admission of wrongdoing by the applicant during his service in the PNP nor shall it be a bar to future employment either in the public or private sector if otherwise qualified.ℒαwρhi৷
The Screening Committee, which is enjoined to exercise utmost fairness and justice in its assigned undertaking, shall complete its evaluation of all retirement papers and submit its recommendations to the President within forty-five (45) days.
This Order shall take effect immediately.
