CREATING A COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE THE CHARGES OF MR. JESUS ALMARIO AGAINST MR. REGINALD VELASCO, FSO I
A Committee is hereby created to investigate the administrative charges filed by Mr. Jesus Almario against Mr. Reginald Velasco, FSO I, to be composed of –
Chief Presidential Legal Counsel or his duly designated representative as Chairman;
Secretary of Foreign Affairs or his duly designated representative as member; and
Assistant Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs or his duly designated representative as member.1aшphi1
The Committee shall have all the powers and prerogatives of an investigating committee under the Administrative Code of 1987 including the power to summon witnesses, administer oath or take testimony or evidence relevant to the investigation by subpoena ad testificandum and subpoena duces tecum.
The Committee is hereby empowered to call upon and secure the assistance of any department, office, agency, or instrumentality of the government, including government-owned or controlled corporation in the performance of its duties and discharge of its functions.
The Committee shall convene immediately, conduct the investigation in the most expeditious manner and terminate the same as soon as practicable from its first scheduled date of hearing.1aшphi1
The Committee shall submit its report and recommendation to the Executive Secretary as soon as practicable from the time the case is submitted for decision.ℒαwρhi৷
