[ Memorandum Order No. 38, September 14, 1992 ]

DIRECTING CABINET MEMBERS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENTS FOR THE EFFICIENT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CALABARZON PROJECT

WHEREAS, the Calabarzon Coordinating Council is the coordinating body tasked to oversee the preparatory work required for the full implementation of the Calabarzon Project;

WHEREAS, there is a need to strengthen the present Calabarzon Coordinating Council for it to effectively carry out its mandate;

WHEREAS, it is recognized that the Calabarzon Coordinating Council would require funding, logistical and other support from the national government;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL, V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby direct:

1. The Secretary, Department of Trade and Industry to provide technical and administrative support for the operation of the Calabarzon Coordinating Council upon request of the said Council and upon availability of the support requirements;

2. The Director-General, National Economic and Development Authority to input the Council’s proposals in its programs and project programmings, and to facilitate or arrange the regular allocation for such programs and projects from Official Development Assistance, among others;

3. Other Cabinet Members to provide the support which may be required from their respective departments for the efficient implementation of the Calabarzon Project.1aшphi1

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
